Hi, my name is Ying Liu. I’m here to help you with all your piano needs – from learning how to play piano at different levels to needing a pianist to accompany your performance, or to collaborate. Let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I felt in love and started to play piano when I was eight years old, and graduated from Henan University (China) with a bachelor’s degree in music pedagogy in 1999. I began my professional piano teaching career in 2002 at SIAS International University until I moved to Canada in 2011.
Once in Canada, I studied at and became a registered piano teacher of Canada Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM), which is one of the largest and most respected music education institutes in the world. With renewed knowledge and teaching techniques, I started to teach piano at schools, in private homes, and online. My students are both kids & adults, and from all over the world. Every year, those who choose to take RCM exam have achieved highest scores. In addition to teaching, I also work as a chorus pianist.
I believe music is for everyone, and it’s never too old to learn. So, let’s start!
